WE DID IT! THE BEACH PARK IS DEAD!

We all owe each other a pat on the back. Today, in an affirmation of our community-wide comittment to preserve Maine's special places for all and forever, Seth Sprague withdrew the application for the Black Point Beach project. Sprague notified both the Town of Scarborough and the Maine Department of Environmental Protection that they would no longer proceed with the plan due to the increasing costs of the project.

Congratulations and Thank You to everyone who lent their voice to protect Scarborough Beach.

Scarborough Beach Needs Your Help

We don't need your money to win this battle, we need your ideas and some of your time.

Tell the Scarborough Zoning Board "NO" to Sprague Proposal

To the Scarborough Zoning Board of Appeals:

In consideration of the pending Appeal No. 2401, submitted by Black Point Resource Management in association with the Sprague Corporation, I am writing to urge the Zoning Board to fulfill its duty to our community and deny their application for a Special Exception to build a parking facility on land abutting Scarborough Beach.

Alternatives to New Parking Facility

Over the past few days, we've received tons of feedback including lots of good ideas about alternatives Sprague Corp should be considering before building a new parking facility. Please add your ideas to this discussion.
